Home Remedies for Long and Thick Hair

Long and thick hair is everyone’s dream as it enhances your personality. But it seems like a dream achieving it in today’s world. The increased pollution and environmental changes inhabit the proper growth of hairs. There are various reasons for thinning up of hairs and baldness. Some of them are; increased emotional stress, hormonal imbalance, heredity, allergies, harmful chemicals, harsh shampoos, bad hair care products, nutritional deficiency, etc. Apart from these problems there are many natural remedies to help you get thicker and voluminous hair:

Olive Oil.

Olive oil can be used to add volume to your hairs. Massage your hairs and scalp with warm olive oil and keep it there for about an hour. Then rinse your hair with a mild herbal shampoo. You may also keep the oil overnight on your hairs and then wash it off with a shampoo the very next morning.

Amla.

Amla is the best Indian remedy for thin hairs. Include small amounts of amla in your diet or drink amla juice in the morning for thick voluminous hairs.

Aloe Vera.

Aloe vera is the best moisturizer for your hairs. It has anti-inflammatory properties that help your scalp get rid of dandruff and leaves back shiny and healthy hairs. Massage aloe vera gel on your hairs and scalp generously. Keep it for an hour and then wash your hairs with a herbal shampoo. Repeat the application of aloe if you find your hairs are still rough and dry.

Fenugreek seeds.

Fenugreek seeds can help your increase your hair growth and prevent hair fall. Soak two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds overnight and grind them to make a paste the next morning. Apply this paste on your scalp and keep it there for an hour. Wash your hairs thoroughly using a herbal shampoo with lukewarm water. Do this weekly to see good results.

Potato juice.

Potatoes are rich in vitamins A, B and C that are essential for hair growth. Apply potato juice on your hairs and scalp and leave it for 15 min. Then wash your hairs with a mild shampoo. Do this twice a week to see good results.

Avocado.

Avocado is rich in nutrients and fatty acids that are required by our scalp. Avocado and avocado oils can be a tasty remedy. Massage your oils with good avocado oil and see the results in your hair growth. You may also eat the avocado directly if you do not have the oil.

Henna leaves.

Henna is again a good Indian remedy for thick, shiny, and long hairs. Rub some henna leaves on your scalp and hair and then wash your hairs after some time. Keep that in mind that henna leaves also leaves back a reddish tint on your hair which gives them luster. But this may also result in illusion of thick hairs due to the shiny luster.
There are several natural ways to protect your hairs from harmful chemicals few of which are stated above. Opt any of these remedies and continue doing it for a while will lead you to long, shiny and voluminous hairs.
